Sarah Trudelle is an award-winning Montreal/Toronto-based film editor.

Recognized for editing the Telefilm funded WILD GOAT SURF (Crave/Tribeca Films), she won the 2024 Leo Award for Best Picture Editing in a Motion Picture.

She was recently selected as one of four editor for the prestigious Canadian Film Centre’s 2026 Editor Lab, and is a member of the Canadian Cinema Editors and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Her upcoming projects include Season 2 of NATYFTV’s docuseries Pour La Vie and Kays Mejri’s Tunisian psychological thriller La Dormante.

Prior to focusing on editorial, Sarah built a strong foundation in VFX management on large-scale productions, including DUMBOThe Lion King and Blade Runner: 2049, an experience that continues to inform her technical precision and collaborative approach in post-production.

Sarah’s obsession with storytelling began in the 5th grade when she used iMovie for the first time to edit a horror short on the school’s old iMac. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies, Specialization in Film at Concordia University and the experience of cutting 16mm on a Steenbeck Machine, she never looked back.

Empathy is a super power that she aims to infuse into every decision in the cutting room. She thrives on creative collaboration and the adrenaline rush of unexpected discoveries in the edit.
